Gregory W. Easter, IFA: On The Cutting Edge of Appraisal Technology
At Gregory W. Easter, IFA, we have a confession to make: We thrive on the latest nerdy gadgets. We use the best and newest technology at our disposal to complete your appraisal without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
The appraisal process has significantly evolved lately and demands more than ever from appraisers. We offer the highest quality appraisals, and cutting corners has never been an option for us. So, we've found that the best place to save time is in our our workflow. Our continuous efforts to be the best have convinced us that keeping up with new technology allows us to bring you more accurate reports, quicker turnaround times and excellent customer service.
Way back when, a lot of our orders arrived via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we got back to the office. Often, in this scenario, it might of taken quite a while to hear back to see if the order could be taken. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we receive a text message on our phones. We often log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.
Just look at how Gregory W. Easter, IFA makes ordering easier
When you order from Gregory W. Easter, IFA you can expect us to be concerned about your deadlines. We don't make you wait around for replies because we understand the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. This website definitely reduces cycle time for us and our clients by enhancing our communications.
Using Technology in the Field
The appraisal process is nothing if not a data intensive procedure. We spend a lot of our time collecting the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help Gregory W. Easter, IFA.
Instead of using paper forms and pencils and then re-keying all the information back at the office, don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an app written for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on site. And instead of using an old tape measure, we're seeing that more appraisers are beginning to use accurate laser measuring devices that also help measure hard to access areas.
All of this technology ensures that the final report is as complete and without error as possible. This benefits both you and us by requiring less time for call-backs and revisions. Our goal is to save you time and money.
Appraisal Report Delivery
At a very minimum, you can expect us to deliver your final report electronically as a PDF. Most of our clients prefer e-mail because we're all accustomed to getting attachments like PDFs in our mail. It's much more efficient than the old days when everything was on paper. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with how you receive your report with this website.
Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had problems sending or receiving an e-mail because it was too big? We've come up with a solution for those problems, too. Whenever we send an appraisal, the client gets a link sent to their email to retrieve the PDF. By bypassing email completely we can get around any problems caused by file size. And the download link is good for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.
Digital Workfile Technology
It would be much easier if appraisers could never have to think about an assignment again after writing and giving it to the client. However, appraisals are used to demonstrate the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers need to keep their reports for 5 years in case any disputes or other matters arise regarding the property.
Here again, Gregory W. Easter, IFA leverages our embracing of technology to improve service. By storing every aspect of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we skip the old-fashioned hard copies and only need our computer to recall just what that report was about.
These are just a few examples of how we use technology daily. Utilizing the right tools, along with the appraisal know-how that you've grown to expect allows the appraiser to deliver reports quicker, more efficiently and with higher degrees of accuracy.
